Storage management

Increase your stock productivity by introducing an efficient stock management! Our goal is to have the right product at the right time in the correct location in perfect condition for minimal costs. It is well known, that there is often a big difference between theoretical approach and reality – our team is coming from the practical world looking at your stock processes on a holistic scale – taking into consideration stock dimension, stock design and efficient commissioning processes.

We analyze and optimize stock strategies – existing techniques for commissioning will be questioned. The performance of your stock will be compared to your needs and optimized.

The main lever in stock management are financial and process costs. For parts clustered in the AX-Family there is for example the possibility for consignment stock or JIT deliveries in order to reduce financial costs. In contrast to A parts, C parts piece price account only for 20% of the costs. 80% are coming from procurement / process costs (inventory management, order, price comparison, storage and removal). At those 80% (4 times the piece value) stock management puts its focus on self controlling systems, like for example KANBAN.

Content/Structure

• Weak point analysis of stock processes, i.e. analysis of fast and slow moving parts with help of ABC/XYZ analysis tool
• Definition of suitable order structures (i.e. time point or time rhythm method)
• Definition of suitable safety and reorder stock level
• Stock cleaning (obsolete material) and spare parts stock strategy
• Introduction of suitable storage concepts (i.e. consignment stock)
• Check of different storage system options (i.e. drive through shelf, block floor storage)
• Critical check of existing internal and external control systems (i.e. KANBAN or Supplier KANBAN)
• Introduction of efficient internal and external shipment concepts, i.e. Milkrun
• IT system integration of newly introduced processes
• Analysis of existing commissioning systems (Worker to product / Product to worker) and IT technology (RFID, Barcode)
• Optimization and leveling packaging, commissioning
• Visualization concepts for stock area and work place design
