EOPplus (EquipmentOptimizationProcess)

The module EOPplus is a method to reduce efficiently the manufacturing costs of automated equipment. The goal is, by an overall view of production, to reduce rapidly process times, to increase tool life and to optimize clamping devices. This is how we achieve stabilized processes with reduced manufacturing costs. EOPplus can be applied to existing and planned processes.

Content/Structure

  • Target Group: employees of production engineering, planning and manufacturing
  • Documentation of the current situation/zero-line based on key figures
  • Process and workflow analysis with support of video technology
  • Development and description of optimization approaches including potential evaluation and cost/benefit analysis
  • Identification of the potential in the CNC program, the use of tooling and the clamping devices
  • Adjustment of CNC programs and simulation run of the new process
  • Production of design engineering drafts for revision or rebuilding of clamping devices
  • Implementation of short term optimization by intervening in the CNC program
  • Implementation plan, scheduling and tracking of medium term actions
  • Verification on the transfer of the result on other parts or equipment; evaluation of the overall potential
  • Definition and implementation of new standards, working instructions and rules to document modified processes
